QUESTION: Sorry if I missed this info at the meeting, but quick question. I know you mentioned the students could bring snacks and water on the bus. As far as Thursday morning....once you get on the road, you are not stopping for breakfast run at dunks or anything, right? Am I understanding that the kids should eat PRIOR to getting on the bus, or else bring snacks or to go breakfast with them? Is that correct? I am sure they will be fine and nobody will be starve, but just wanted to plan for that am ahead of time. thanks so much :) Renee Walker
ANSWER: Great question... we did not address this directly I don't think. But, students should have breakfast before they travel. Having a bit of food in their stomach will also help a bit with possible queasiness from the bus ride. We will stop around noontime for lunch and an additional pit stop if necessary and a stop is available. Students should bring their own snacks. We are not due into DC until 4:00pm, so drinks and snacks are important. All drinks should have lids or caps to minimize spills. There will be a bathroom on the bus if needed.
